Our Frogston Story

Frogston Primary School opened its doors to a single Primary 1 class in August 2020 as the first brand new primary school in Edinburgh since the 1980s. We were initially known as Broomhills Primary School before renaming our school as Frogston in October 2020.

In June 2021, we moved into our new, purpose built premises. The classrooms are outstanding agile spaces and we are enjoying seeing our landscaped, outdoor spaces change and develop as the seasons progress.

We are growing into a large school and nursery with space for over 500 learners. As of August 2024, our Early Learning and Childcare Centre has over 100 children and we have over 400 pupils across 17 classes from P1 to P7.

Currently, works are progressing to complete an extension which will house 6 additional classrooms as well as additional office and break-out space. It is on schedule for completion in July 2026!
