Being at school every day and on time really does make a huge difference. That’s why we have made attendance a key part of our Home Learning Policy. Regular attendance helps your child to make the most of their time in school, building friendships, growing in confidence and maximising their learning potential.

We know that sometimes, mornings can be tricky and sometimes worries, anxieties or barriers to learning can get in the way of children coming to school. If you are experiencing any difficulties at all, we are here to help! Please get in touch either by chatting with a member of the SLT at drop-off or pick up, or by arranging an appointment through our administrative team.

You can find support for managing school anxiety here.

And of course, sometimes children are not well enough to come to school. Please report ALL absences by contacting the school office directly on 0131 529 3738. It is OK to leave a message. Please clearly state your child’s name, class and the reason for their absence.
